You are invited to the Fall 2010 Promoting Healthy Weight Colloquium. Early Childhood:  The Role of Food, Physical Activity, Guidelines, Parents and Child Care Providers!

The Colloquium is offered by the University of Tennessee Public Health Nutrition Program on Friday, September 24, 2010 from 12:30 pm-5:00 pm Eastern Daylight Savings Time at the Howard Baker Center on the UT campus. The conference will be webcast live also! There is no cost to participate, but registration is required. Registration is now open and closes September 17.

The Fall 2010 Promoting Healthy Weight Colloquium will focus on the Bright Futures developmental stage of early childhood. Speakers and panel members will address nutrition guidelines and "best practices" to promote physical activity, environmental influences on child eating behaviors, and issues faced by parents and child care providers related to promoting a healthy weight. Colloquium presentations are intended for researchers, practitioners, and family members. The presenters include:
